View Full Version : Most unusual results in a game.
I have played many campaigns and I thought that I had seen it all. This game though, the Almo take over Spain like they do 1/2 the time, but then they go into full revolt. Soon, Almo are gone and N. Africa and the Iberian peninsula is all rebel. I decide to crusade one of the provinces to get a foothold down there (I am Italian). Soon the rebels are sending assasins after me and are building like crazy. They now have about 3000 troops and are doing a good job holding onto their territory. Most bizzare but very welcome change. Anyone else had this sort of experience in MTW?

Happend in one of my campaigns aswell with Almos to, though they didnt use assasins on me..i left them and after like 30-40 years the spanish took over almost evrything hehe and became a little threat again was playing the frensh my self..
Spanish are gone. The French are trying to take some control but are weaker than the rebels. On the other side, the Egyptians are tied up with the Horde and the Turks so they aren't trying to take land either. Besides, I sent a little uber stack into Egypt and took 4 territories and left them to revolt. Since then Egypt has had their own problems. Six companies of troops and they were unbeatable by twice their number. I don't always have such experienced armies.
just yesterday my bodyguards caught an assassin who after much persuasion admitted to working for the rebels I've never seen rebels build an empire of their own tho - weird...
I have a game presently where rebel stacks will claim allegiance to another faction, (never my own), I have never seen this happen before and thought it strange. For example, Egypt lost Spain due to Christian revolt then a few turns later they all claim thier allegiance to Egypt. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wacko.gif
I have seen rebels decide to join a faction. Not very often and usually they are not rebels that were lost by that faction. Often this happens when someone takes another faction's province and then abandon's or loses it and rebels pop up. These rebels will then decide they liked the original owner and will join them. But I have never seen your scenario.
I think it is pretty sweet that I have been playing this game for months now and yet I still see new things happen.

In my present Turkish campaign the rebels are quiet active. All Russia belongs to them and they have a 3 stack army in Volhyania. As AI factions tried to get provinces nearby, the rebels counterattacked those factions.
