Italics not working at 12/12/2017 !!

To whom it may concern.

For the first time ( ever ), since I stated posting on this Website / Forum, the I button to adjust text to italics, has ceased working correctly. It now causes text to disappear !!! My PC and my browser are the same as used for the last approx. 5 years and I have not adjusted any settings anywhere ( on my PC, browser or the website ).

What gives ? Anyone else have this problem ? Can it be fixed ?

Test control, test italic, test underline, test bold.

Seems to work. Are you sure the end tags didn't get messed up in your post?

Underline worked OK, as did Bold ( see my other posts yesterday re this ). Italics failed ( disappeared even ), so I had to delete the I and the /I ( along with their brackets ) to get the text to appear ( hence the edits in those posts ). Every thing was done correctly.

Tested again today. Now working again !!! :shrug: :dizzy2:

I think we've all been there with the sticking keys and the not working keys.

Just in case anyone thinks otherwise, this was definitely not an error by me !

I rechecked my typing and retested the Italics "script" key several times on 12/12. The key was definitely at fault, as both Bold and Underline still worked correctly.

[ I.E. The appropriate ( I ) key was clicked and the usual "script" appeared. However, it did not provide Italics after it was saved ; instead it deleted the text , leaving a gap in each of my 12/12 posts. I then edited out the Italics "script" on each post, saved again, and the text then reappeared ( without me needing to retype it )... ]
