Just a heads-up about an issue that could be quite important for many.
With the installation of a Total War game, a program called Red Shell also installs in the PC. The issue has been known for one year, but the problem is that, apart from a passing reference in the pile of information called EULA, CA had kept suspiciously silent about it.

Red Shell collects information, mainly about your system capacities and then sends it to CA. How the company uses it, maliciously or not, remains unknown. No comments from CA from now, but maybe more will come tomorrow (Monday, end of weekend).

Being tied to the launcher, simply deleting it will prevent the game from starting. For detailed instructions about how to get rid of it, read here:

Is this why Steam downloaded an update for MTW 1 on me recently? And here I was thinking they had fixed something...

And it's gone, at least from TW.
