I have to confess...

I´ve been (as dane) fighting it out with most of Europe over 100 years and last night I suddenly noticed that I had no hiers and the old bugger of a King was 64 years

So what do one do?

Well - my only daughter - the wonderful young Ulrikke had just only cut the first piece of the cake on her 15th birthsday when I had to let the King - you know - get the job done... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

The only problem with King Erik is, that he only slobber when he sees a young pesky lad http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/redface.gif

So as you can see this family of mine is more crazy than The Osbournes, but I really do hope that Ulrikke sends me a little male freak VERY SOON....

But how old does the Kings usually get and should I fear HIV http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

If you have married some princesses off to generals, then, when the king dies there is a good chance of civil war,
and you get to pick which side you will fight on,

always read through the "statistics" carefully before you pick sides - having twice as many men, but only 1 or 2 good generals will not help your cause...

sadly using .unfreeze. when your king is already 64 is probably not going to help
(.unfreeze. produces a male heir next turn...)

One of your many Generals may have "Royal Blood." This little feature has saved me numerous times from a sterile or flacid King. Royal Blooded Generals are ex-princes. After your Prince reachers whatever age, he "Dies" but he remains as one of your generals. Though he will not show up as an official heir, he will be one.

Unless of course you already knew about this and really are FLAT out of heirs. Tough shit to be you, friend.

Thanks for the advice barocca http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

This .unfreeze. cheat I´ve heard of, but would you please explain how and where to enter it?

Thanx mate http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

And to you Coldstream

Thanx - that one I had never heard of.

No problem man, I really honestly hope you find one. Stuff like this that far into the game makes me beat my head into my desk.

I think you'll notice that all of your ex-princes have a royal family name. I know the English are Plantaganet or Plantagnet or something, the Italians are Meducci, but I really don't know at all what the Danes use. Which is wierd because I love being the Danes.

Anyhow, best of luck, I wanna hear how this turns out. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

well ive got a related question im playing my HRE campaign and ive got a great valour 7 general hes fought many of my battles and wiped out the danes/french/polish all becos they attacked me first and would not accept my ceasefire proposals so i wiped them out.

so basicly although ive got a great gen is their any way i can make anymore gens with more than 1 command since none of my gens get created with more than 1 command point.

You can usually expect your King to make it to 70 years, after than he might croaked at any time. I think I've had one last til 74.

I'm a little confused though, seems you're thinking of mating your King with his daughter. Isn't your King already married?

If not, then I wonder why the game didn't marry him after he became king. It usually does so after a few turns, unless you arrange a marriage yourself.

Well, the kings wife (the queen I presume) probably died several years earlier because she was a barren old witch. If he starts in on his daughter though, all children will undoubtedly have terrible v&v's and you may lose part of your realm to revolt anyway. But, lousy heirs are better than no heirs.

You better get crackin on your conquest...I'd say your old boy has about 15 years left. You can do it, I know you can. KILL EM ALL

Your joking right? I've never had a Queen die. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

to .unfreeze. or use any of the other cheats simply type what is diplayed. there is no entry line or window, just type .unfreeze. or any of the other codes; often there will be a sound after you finish typing that tells you you have entered it correctly.

I can honestly say, not once during my games of MTW i have run out of heirs and had my king die.

Once i was playing Shogun, and enemy geisha killed all my 5 sons, then went and got my king, ruined the entire game

damn glad you cant do that in MTW http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I guess that Avatar of yours must be a momento of her husband, cause Elizabeth's gotta be better looking than THAT http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif

Or, is that a disguise to keep her (and the Axe man) from finding you?? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif

You actually married you kings daughter to the king????? You are one sick **** http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif .

I am suprised this even works in the game. There are laws agaist that, and I could imagine immediate excommunication in influence level plummeting.

Nobody likes an incesteous dad, but marrying your own daughter http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/shock.gif .....

Hey Cardinal

I fully understand you, but imagine fighting for 122 years only to find that you´re out of hiers

It´s possible to do it, but you´re warned by your advisors.
When I actually did it, I was told that my daughter would be put away from the public eye so that it would not be revealed.
In the end I had to use the "unfreeze" thing though...

The strange thing was that the perverted ol´ king died several times at the age of about 65-66 years UNTIL I started moving him and doing battles again (He´s been away from Denmark since he was 19 years).
Now he´s in the mid seventies kicking egyptian butt in southern Spain http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif
