Resting units????????

Yes if you rest them it will help.
They won't go back to "fresh" but if you rest them long enough they can go from "very tired" to "quite fresh".

Yous can see a units fatigue, when you point your mouse over the icon of that unit in the bothom of your screen

The enemy units don't need to rest because I don't think they ever get tired!I've pursued single enemy units,after routing the main army, around the battlefield.I could not catch them from behind even though they "marched quickly"the whole time,they never seemed to tire or slow down.Only by sending several units cross country to cut them off could I catch them at all.
