I would like to invest in a cheap old laptop (http://bestlaptopshub.com) that can play the old classics like MTW. I plan on getting one with XP, which I guess is OK?

The main issues I have had with MTW in the past is graphics card incompatability. So a bit of advice in that regard would be helpful.

I was wondering in particular if anybody here had a laptop/OS combination that successfully runs this game...

Your best bet is a laptop with Windows 8. Windows 10 still has issues with compatibility and can crash MTW but find a cheap, new laptop with Windows 8 that has decent specs and you're sorte dout.

Which brand of MTW are you running? The Steam version seems to have alleviated the video card issues.

The only laptop I ever ran MTW on was a Toshiba Satellite 1110 (XP SP2), of 2003 vintage. Recently I discovered I could restore my desktop to MTW functionality as I found a Chinese clone of the old GeForce FX5500 (again on XP) on a well-known online merchant. Took some adjusting of resolution settings and the right choice of driver (v7.1.8.9 iirc, but not 100% sure) but it now seems to run fine. I had thought I was done for after my last GeForce died.....

Choose Dell with Windows 7 or 8 because you may have issues running old games on Windows 10.

Thanks for the info. Also, can someone uses Android app development (https://www.intellectsoft.net/services/android-app-development-services) services or you just find a developer who can help? Can you please share some advice? Because I was looking for a company that can help with the mobile application, there are so many options to choose from on the market.

Honestly, nowadays you can get a good laptop for a decent budget, particularly if you don't want to play the newest games at Ultra level. I wanted to upgrade my laptop and was ready to purchase, found some great ones, but in the end decided not to because my existing 4 year old gaming laptop was more than enough for the job.

No need to upgrade if you don't have a specific need.

I have an Asus K55VM. I like RetroStyle Games (https://retrostylegames.com/) because of the high level game art. Generally they are the best in the business.

The old games are playable on lower-range PC and laptops you can consider below system requirements.

Processor: Intel i3 or Rzyen 3 and above. (ideal intel i5)
Ram: 4GB, possibly 8GB DDR4 ram
Storage capacity: 256GB SSD.
Graphic card: Integrated fine but I suggest a 2GB graphics card.
Display: 15 inches with FHD
Refresh rate: 60hz is fine.
OS: windows 8 to 10 64-Bit.

If you need to play old games, Dell with Windows 7 or 8 should be your top choice rather than opting for a computer running Windows 10, due to compatibility issues that you may have.

Another option is the steam deck. MTW works with it.
