WIP THREAD - updated 03/06/2020

Antony is one of the four Roman factions available to you under Imperator Augustus. The other being Lepidus, Octavian or Pompey. The games starts with a Triumvirate between Lepidus, Octavian and Antony, but this never seems to last very long.

the conflict starts 41 BC, which is historically 10 years before the battle of Actium, and will last anything up to around 225 turns, which for me usually means around 16 AD. By this time you should have achieved one of the three victory conditions (as long as you have survived), which would be either Military, Economic or Cultural (which I will discuss separately).

As you progress through this you will have 8 levels of objectives, which if you are successful will give you 194k credits. The base line objects account for 99k of this, which you will get as long as you complete the levels requirements (which can be seen below) but this still leaves an extra 94k that can be achieve by completing the secondary objects in the correct time lines. It is true that over 60% of the overall credits are achieved from level 6 to 8, but it does slowly gradually build up. This extra value can help you to achieve your overall objectives of victory.

The secondary objectives, in my opinion, are quite interesting, and all can be seen below, they phase how you play the game and what 'should' be developing over time as your empire grows. Let me explain this a little more:

Antony starts the game is a somewhat 'XZY (thing of a word or phrase)' position, he is not open to to much aggression from the other roman factions, as he stuck in the right hand corner of the map, but he has got conflict on his door step with the Parthian empire. In 53 BC Crassus had been crushed at the battle of Carrhae, and this would be fresh in all Roman minds at this time. The Pathians are a thorn in your side and a constant threat, but this can be an advantage, as it can train your legions and generals in conflict, give your faction an eastern slant (ie archers on foot or on horse) which would therefore be an advantage in the conflicts that will follow against the other roman factions, if you want to achieve your overall goal of victory, this might be the advantage you need?
(TO be continued....)
