Happy May Day!

Until I was 25, this was the day US media always had an easy opening segment to the news, reporting on the scary power of the USSR as displayed that year. What a different world we have now. It really sank into your thinking and your world view back then. Oddly enough, the Cold War made some things so easy...

May day was a little less interesting this year, I know there were the usual may day protests in Europe mixed in with anti-COVID restrictions and some far right elements to start fights. Sizes of the protests were all smaller than usual, pandemic plus general apathy.

Cold war did make a us vs them mentality easier.
