Just wanna say i miss very much the nice videos that we had on STW-MI about the campaign mode. When using ninjas (the best ones) or geishas, or when portuguese or holland arrive to one of your harbour, it was really nice to see a short piece of video movie.
Also in the sad moment when ur Daimyo died, i was happy because my son get the kees of the clan in a council with the very most important ppl of the clan.
So, from here i want to ask to the programer that pls add in the new patch some of that movies so nice in STW-MI.
Thx in advance... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I don't think they will add any movies in any patch... though they would be nice in RTW.

I'm glad theyre gone.

I'd rather they spent the time and money fixing the slew of bugs and incomplete features in the game than producing pointless video shorts.

I honestly dont get peoples fascination with video intros etc. Mostly they are of such a poor quality that if you saw it on tv you would laugh openly, so why is it impressive as a part of a game? Is it that people still impressed with the ability of a PC to display video? Its not 1996 anymore.

Looks like RTW is going to be one long and glorious video anyway so we probably won't need them. I did miss the videos in MTW however as they definately helped the atmosphere and sense of immersion - those drawings that pop up just don't have the same effect and get even more repetitive than the videos did.

The atmosphere in MI was great, and the throne room and the visitors you got where brilliant. The advisor was funny, you could change the words he said, that was funny...
