Hey,I pretty much only play European, Catholic/Orthodox factions and I'm looking for a change of face. I'm thinking of trying a Moslem faction, I've pretty much ruled out the elmoheads, That narrows it down to either the Turks or the Egyptians. Which of these two factions is the best/and or more fun to play with?

Well, if you dont like the "elmoheads" then I would suggest the turks. They are one of the harder factions to start out with in the earlier years. They have quite a few special units and they get Jannisaries I find that with the egyptians i tend to "bum-rush" with full stacks of scarian inf, simply because they dont really have much better...
Hope that helped
Yeah I'd go with the Turks too. It's alot more challenging that the Egyptians. I think the Eggies are fairly easy, with their starting position and all.
TK:
Go with the Turks. Learning to use cav archers is much harder in MTW than STW, but very rewarding. Janissary archers, Turcomans, Ottomans, all fun. Work towards the Sipahi in Edessa, they are a cool unit.

The Egyptians also start out with a 6-star general, a unit of Bedouin Camels that comes with the "fine leader" vice, which adds morale. Its very easy to turn this guy into a super-general in short order. I think in one of my Egyptican games, I managed to give him expert attacker (defender?) and several other good virtues.
Turks are fun They have TONS of unique units, which gives them a very disticnt flavor. Because of the large number of missle units, their fighting style is very different from that of the Catholic factions.
