Maybe this issue has been mentioned b4 but are the different foot-knights to be made available to us as part of the tech-tree production without self-modding the game in the viking expension?

No I don't think so, because that would be kinda historically inaccurate. However there will be Houscarls for the saxons, that's about as close as you're gonna get.

They are making changes to the current campaigns, but i doubt this will be one of them. There really is no point in being able to build foot kights seperatly, as you can dismount before battle, and if you build foot knights, you can't mount them if you want to. I personally have modded to allow myself to do so, but I more for novelty value than anythin else.
I recently increased the bases size for foot knights to 60 in an attempt to make them worthwile to build, but I have not yet gotten far enough in my campaign to see what this will be like, although I imagine I would use them mostly for castle assaults.

Hi,
Well, I modded the game such that one can only produce Foot Knights in the provinces where they are given a valour bonus. So that is just Ile de France and Brandenburg. Is a tiny incentive for me to get hold of those provinces and tech them up.
those proviences are silly.. who knows why they added those bonuses for?

All those provinces with bonuses to crusader units are hangovers from the time CA was thinking of making them possible to produce.
I think Emperor means if they will be available in the upgrade for medieval with the expansion VI and not to be there to fight with vikings.

If you build a crusade in those provinces, you will get the valour bonus. I've done this in Leon(I think), which givesa bonus to Knights of Santiago.
I know there are also provences that give bonuses to Knights Templar(one of the holy land ones, forget which) and Teutonic Knights (prussia, I believe).
