The March 2003 issue of PC gamer gives mention of Medieval in two places. One was it's honourable mention as runner up to "2002 best turn-based strategy game" slightly behind COMBAT MISSION. They quote:

"Is Medieval a turn-based game dolled up with a real-time game, a real-time strategy game gussied up with turn-based goodness, or a true hybrid of both? In the end, semantics about it's genre mean nothing because Medieval is simply fantastic. THe turn-based segment's depth rivals any other turn-based game on the market, and the number of playable factions and different scenarios provides endless replayability. And the real-time battles are masive and deliciously gruesome"

Billy (PCG staff) goes on to say further in the issue:

"Any game that lets me marry off my daughters to two bit kings and assassinate my political rivals will top my list any year."

Chalk up another success story to the game.
