Titles and Princes

I was trying to give some provincial and office titles to some generals and I couldn't for some. I realized all of them were princes. None of them had any titles. Can princes not get titles?

nope princes are not able to recieve titles. It took me half an hour to figure this out. However after a prince's older brother becomes emperor and has a son, these princes are disinherited and are exactly like normal generals. They become immortal and can recieve titles.
