Hi
just wondering what people do with their muskets when either the rain gets in their poor eyes, and the snow is so cold that snowballs just aint an option for their cold little fingy wingies!

Use them for flank/morale support.

yeah - which??
do you flank and attack one unit - or chrge into an area where your peasants are looking like they wish they had hidden better in their rice fields when you came 'army gathering' or is there another use - soak up arrow fire????

When you engage in battle, put them on the flanks or behind ur lines. Use them as the second wave of attack.

isn't there an option where you can order your musky's to drop there weapon and begin to throw snowballs instead?

Most people use them for weak flanks and morale boosters when their lines are breaking. I use them as my front line in a charge!! hehe

It is truely shameful to die with a weapon undrawn!

Just take those buggers in wedges and rush them headlong into the enemy. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif If nothing else, they'll provide a distraction. It's probably better to put them behind tough spots in the line just to provide morale support to keep the units up front from breaking. Gunpowder isn't very useful on a rainy day, but just letting your front line men know that SOMEBODY has got their back, even if it is a bunch of unruly Ashigaru, will help out a lot.
