New Chat Room function

if you can turn off any pop-up filters I just got a new feature today with aol that allows you to turn them off and on as needed, when I turned it off the chat function worked before that it was a blank screen

you also need to have javascripts enabled, either by prompt or automatic. this is an irc type chat thing and it will want to install the applet in order for it to run.

I saw that the applet said something about irc, and I declined it. Is this an actual irc channel? If so I wont use it, using irc isn't something I regularly do except with around 2 firewalls up simultaneously, one to monitor, and the other which has the ability to instantly close all ports and shut off all connections....for obvious reasons.
