My best general is the only knight left in his unit. How do I get another 19 knights to join him?

Drag his units icon from the bar at the bottom of the screen into the build queue of a province that can build royal knights. Voila one year later a shiny unit of 20 knights containing all the origional mambers with new equipment and some new friends. Works with all units.
