Only 1 Grand Mosque

This may have been covered before, but I went back several pages and did not see it... but, it seems that I can only build 1 Grand Mosque in my entire empire? Is that correct? If so, I really screwed up putting my only one in Arabia so it will take 2 years to move a Nizari group out of to anywhere besides Palestine or Syria, or even longer to repair a down unit...

Am I doing something wrong?

I'm pretty sure it's one Grand Mosque/Cathedral per faction, although this might change in the later ages which I've not experienced with yet.

Post patch 1.1 you can only have one Grand Mosque or Cathedral.

Pre patch 1.1, there is a way to build multiple GMs.
Build everything that's required for them in all the provinces where you want a GM. Then start buildin a GM in each one of those provinces simultaneously in the same turn.

This is a pre patch bug which will allow you build as many GMs as you like provided you start construction in the same turn

Post-patch, can you still wreck your GM after building the Military Academy and the Janissary requirements, and then rebuild it somewhere else and thus be able to churn out Janissaries in two provinces at once?

Yeah sure. I think so.

You can just build a GM, build military academy, destroy the GM, rebuild it in another province. You will still have the Military Academy, and thus fulfill the requirements for Janis. Janis don't need the GM.
