heh, so I were playing the Alomohads , and were in war with the Byzantium, well, then I got this crazy idea of making my emmisary ask for the Byzantium princess hand in marriage, well, I made him do it, and about two turns later the Byzantium asked me if I wanted to marry my oldest son with his daughter, I accepted and they got married http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Have this ever happend to you??, have tried it before but they have always turned me down, heh, I have never gotten two people with different religions to marry each other before http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

When I play the Byzantines I get proposals of marriage from Catholic factions quite often but mine are never accepted. When I play as a Catholic faction only other Catholics will propose to me, but never accept mine, and when I play as Muslim factions nobody will marry me. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif

I've had proposals by all other princess-carrying factions when playing as the Golden Horde (using WesW's mod), which is very fortunate since the Khan apparently never gets married on his own in the game (neither when he's over 25yrs nor when he assumes the throne, though interestingly, the game still produces heirs very slowly even though the Khan isn't married).

its strange how slow they appear, When gengis captured cities he had *cough* with the beautiful ladies which led to many gettting pregnant. Now there is millions of people in asia related to the great Khan. Even tho they may be illegitamate i dont think he would have problems getting "legitamate" children

Quickest way to get your princes married is beat up a nation with princesses and then send an emissary to marry the princess... I typically have 5 out of my 6 or 7 princes married at a time.

They probably implemented that the Mongols use the election system to choose a new Khan once the old one passed away.

As Catholic Pasta Makers (Italianos) or Warm Beer Drinkers (Engleesh) I sold my maidens into "marriage" to the Infidel many times. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

early on in the game, it's relatively easy to get your heirs married, but once you own most of the world, no one wants anything to do with you any more. one trick i discovered on getting your sons married easy tho, is pick two factions that are at war with each other. marry one of their daughters, then go and marry his enemy's daughter. as for the byzantines, their daughters are a bit whoreish, and will pretty much marry anyone.
