Everyone gets a "base" honor 2 army. Say 4xYS, 4xYA, 4xSA. Or maybe 3xYS, 2xYA, 4xSA, 1xYC, 1xND, 1xWM. Or maybe 12xYA. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif Starting forces don't really matter as long as there are 4 slots left open for customization.
They then get some amount of koku to spend customizing the army, say 1000.
Every battle is a "turn" and between turns, players get some koku plus a bonus of 1 koku per head taken in the last battle.
Unused koku accumulates and can be spent later.
Units can be "rebuilt" on a prorated cost per man.
Units can be "cashed in" for 1/2 their value and the total added to the accumulated koku value, but only after the first battle.
Your next battle would be your last battle's survivors plus whatever upgrades you buy with your between battle income.
Players always have the option of choosing a wipeout and restarting with just the base army, no additional mods or units, for the cost of all accumulated koku, for the next battle. I'm not sure about this one, but it would save a player from simply losing after a bloody fight.
