I just returned from getting it but i do have one question at the moment.And that is can i uninstall the old STW game since this has all the same stuff as the older one.

Yes, but you won't be able to play online with people who are playing with version 1.12 at all. I advise you just keep the old STW on there until they put out the patch that will make it compatible with all 3 versions.
Another thing to note here, importantly, when you go to play online, you have to make a new account name, clan, and nick name for yourself.
I tried to use my STW clan with a new name and It told me that the clan didn't exist!
Well, it does exist, but not on that server!!!
So, I think we need to get some info on how all of you guys in places that won't get the game for another week or two, are going to get to keep your names online.
Hmm....
Anyways....I made a new map already, took me about 30 minutes (actually around 20 after I got done goofing around). It's a completely flat map for the LARGE map preset. Damn big!
Go get it at my site if you'd like to use it.

So far so good.
The Easy AI is a complete joke when you play as the Mongols vs. the Japanese. Strategy Map and Battles included. I trounced the AI in just 8 years. I could have done it in 4 years, but I wanted to poke around. After pimp slapping the Hojo in a few battles, they basically gave up. They didn't produce any more units than what they started with, it seems. I spent the last half of those 8 years simply hoping through the provinces as I chased the Hojo Daimyo who was all by himself, for 4 years!!! I finally cornered him and he was killed by default when he tried to flee without fighting a battle.
Play it on Normal or higher, don't waste your time on Easy.

Map Editor works great. Very easy to use. I fear we're going to see so many new maps that we'll have to start putting zip codes on them! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif

Kensai are tough as nails. Battlefield Ninja are an odd bunch, they don't seem to be all that effective, but then again, I think that I may need practice with them in order to figure out their best strengths. The Mongol cavalry is awesome!
