They can win against equal honored YS! That's just not correct! (This is just a strange way of asking for help countering them)

The Kensai is useless.

Does anyone have suggestions for using thunder bombers? I tried them against an archer unit of a defeated army, and they're REALLY short ranged! I can't see any possible use for something so shortranged. Help?

I think the movies were really crappy compared to Shogun's movies. Comments?

Has anyone else noticed that when you right-click on a Mongol saved game it says that the clan is Oda?

*DIGRESSION*

With a killed general, Skirmishers can rout YS in one volley. (this is subjective, not scientific) What is so scary about those spears?

*DIGRESSION*

The morale boost is unrealistic (to me). Somehow I don't think peasants with a spear put in their hand should stay fighting that long and that hard.

Yes they are sick.

I'm not sure about the Kensai. I don't think we are using them correctly.

Put them in woods on defense. Build defense line by woods. Have them run out of woods and nuke something slow like YS or better Naga, although SA distracted by shooting something else works real well also. Do not use them at something running fast like cav. First boom is good, next two are across the long axis of the line and blows itself up.

Some rout penalties seem to have gone up. Taisho running/killed both seem to be one of these things. As for the javelins, they kill a bunch fast, that is why they are scary.

They still seem to run as fast when you pop them from two sides without support. Unfortunately, you have to manually rally them, otherwise they keep running their happy arses off the map. Sometimes they do that anyway. In a straight up fight, especially when they are doing well, the Ashis do seem to hold up better.

Just wondering, where you ever a shaman? If that doesn't make sense, ignore it. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

Nope, never a shaman, but ah, why do you ask?

Alastair was a regular poster on the EQ newsgroups a while back. Your initial post reminded me of him. His shaman was a shining example of how to run the class.

Kensei are good breaking castle seiges with some support. On bridge battles they will eventually crap out at 40-60 kills.
