Free domain????

Ok earlier today my dad moaned at me saying if all ur ever gonna do is play that mtw all day at least make a web page about it so i was told to load microsoft frontpage.

I loaded it and spent several hrs designing a basic page with a few links and hperlinks to other pages (not bad considering its my first web page). but when i had the basic shape of my mtw page i tried to publish it and it said i needed to get a domain but i cant find a domain that doesnt make u pay monthly or annual subscriptions.
So basicly does any1 know a server/domain that i can use to host my page? without having to pay a fee or rental charge??? (it has to include frontpage support)

Knight, does your ISP provide any free web space? I know the three ISPs I've had over the years all provided 10MB-25MB of free storage for files and web sites.

First check with your present ISP. Often, along with whatever connection you are paying for they throw in some space for your webpage. See if you have that sort of deal before you pay more for anything else http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

uncertain about frontpage support, but the 3 i use are bravenet, spaceports and web1000

Grgoshi had a good idea to do first. Many ISP's don't tell everyone about their own webspace because it costs more money for them. So try that first. If that doesn't work you could always go with www.angelfire.com (reccomended), www.tripod.com , www.geocities.com , and finally www.expages.com . Though I would only go with Angelfire, their policies have gotten more restrictive as to posting images or files on message baords or whatnot in the last few years.

I would just like to welcome you to HTML. Though you are using Frontpage right now I would try and learn what each thing actually does code wise. It is really easy to learn and will help your resume by knowing it. Send me an instant message sometime and I can help you out even more.

Im about to buy my own domain so when i have it ill give you a subdomain if you want

Learn the actual html code, dont be reliant on any of the editors, its very easy

apperently my cable provider has this function but they dont tell u that sos they save money.
