Smaller Battles

A lot of people talk about how they want bigger maps and more men all the field, and that is all good and fun but how about smaller battles? How cool would it be if you could ambush a king traveling down a country road? Or attack trading caravans Robin Hood style? Just an idea I thought I would share.

I see your point, and agree: small, squad-sized tactics would be fun to play out with the characters in the game. I've actually encountered some battles where I controlled 1 or 2 vikings vs 100 enemy peasants. Really made me concentrate on terrain and timing.

i couldnt agree more with both of you. for me it seems that small battles are the best , aspecially the 100-500 troops in total range. and LordKevinV you 'ambush the king' idea is really cool
