Well thanks a lot for getting me to play MTW.. now I cant stop playing it?? I think I need to see a doctor.

hey is there a thread on how the game chooses the 18 units that will start a battle for example my province of Bulgaria gets invaded I have all sorts of units in there but the game starts me off in the battle with crappy units sometimes so its feudal seargents and royal knights against useless peasants?? I want to start with my Kataphracts and byz inf wtf?

JFYI, a Stack consists of 16 units not 18.

If you check the upper right portion of the battle screen there's a square button that will allow you to adjust the units in your stack.

You pick/highlight a unit (bottom of the screen) you wish to replace with a better choice, click it then click the square button. You'll notice that the highlighted unit will change; hit the button again and the unit changes again. You can cycle thru all the excess units unitl you get to one you wish to keep in the Stack.

Highlight another unit and repeat until your stack (troops on the battlefield) consists of the units your prefer.
