I like 2 know why i cant post replys on this forum , its only posible here .

Well The Danes are back anyway ;o) all 3 of us , scary aint it he he

we have some serious problems with the game on-line but we cant adress them in the aproritate forum as it wont allow us to post ?

As it seems to work this way that one only is allowed to post here il do that ( strange rule )

2 of my fellow Vikings cant play on-line the game crashes in mid game but works fine when playing the game itself .

We have tryed everything from new drivers to closing down the soundcard wich worked on Shogun where Annett had the same problem , unfortunately it does not work this time despite defragment new drivers no additional programs running it still crahs and makes it imposible to play on-line HELP anybody ?

Next problem :

The game cheats with the florins on-line , if we set up the excact same army on booth sides the florin amount varriates with 50 or a 100 florins form one army to the other despite the fact that the 2 armys are danes and have the same troops valour and weapon - amour , very strange any explanation anybody ?

Regarding the Vikings: do they have the patch installed? Do they crash everytime or just occasionally? Is it always crashing at the same point during the game/setup? Can you tell us more about the PCs in question?

Regarding the florin: http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif I've not heard of that one I'll let one of the more experienced online players address this issue.

Regarding the registration policy sucking: Of all the things in your life that can suck, be glad that this is one of them and not one of the more important ones. Besides, don't worry about it too much, it usually doesn't take too long to promote you so that you can post in the other forums.

Ok ur a junior member so u can only post in the entrance hall so that no1 spams or flames in other areas.

The florin situation is this one of u has been playing sp before mp this brings up the cheating icons u will see also its probably the reason ur all crashing. this sp before mp thing is annoying but just restart mtw whenever u wanna play mp.

yip im praising another game apart from mtw but both have realy made 2002 a year to remember in gaming history.

Well the game crahses even the fackt that no games has been running and there has not been played SP .

The Pc is a 1.6 mhz 256 mb , creative 32 mb grafic card
direkt X 9.0 ( 8.0 has been tryed out 2 )

its running window ME , there is not running any virus nor firewall , system resurces at start up is 86 % of 100 .

The game has a tendency to fail in mid game especialy when you group the intire army

but soemtimes also in set up , if this is reletated to the problem we dont know a fact is that The Danes Annett hasent been able to play on-line in the 14 days she had the game , the danes beskeren can play someting like 3 games then all resurses are used and the game frezze .

ur graphics r a bit dated ive got a 64mb geforce2 and even it has problems.
my only solution is wipe ur entire sytem i mean everything including windows then reinstall it and install mtw then windows media player v7 install the patch for mtw 1.1 then if u didnt install direct x 8.1 when the game asked install it. ive heard bad things about version 9 being unstable and v8 probably just wouldnt work at all.

K - we found the problem , the ghx of the system was lowered a 1/4 in the bios , works now thanx for the help
