I'm playing as Egyptians and 1 of my heirs is al Nasir I (Saladin) http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif . Unfortunately, he is the 3rd one in line for the throne. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif How do i get rid of his brothers if i'm a long way from assasins?

I would misplace them in battle.

yes misplace does sound good, you can also try sending em to the enemy....rambo style http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif. if all else fails you can always count on your assasin (if you have one)

Nope, no assasin, but thanks for the tips. I'll be sure to send the two brothers charging into the endless ranks of Byzantine infantry. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif One of them liked boys anyways, so i doubt the family name would get muh farther than him. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif Welcome to the Org Edible. Your ID reminds me of the old egg ad campaign jingle: The incredible, edible egg.

To further refine the suggestions so far: put the elder princes in an army consisting only of local yokels and no crack units. In battle keep your formations scrambled and separated. Though your army's morale is fragile as an egg shell, don't count your chickens (routing peasants) before they're hacked. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

Is there really a reply after what Gregoshi just did? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif Anyhow I did this with my current heir apparent, sending his unit into the final English province. Was saving it till later so they wouldnt re-appear later. Anyway his unit got decimated and killed about 200 guys, then he fled and somehow got off the map. Dropped his valour and gave him another bad vice. So I sent him back into that province again the next year, he killed about 100 more guys before they brought him down. Granted he was a Kataphraktoi but was a nice weakening tecnique as well.

Best to make sure that your heir gets surrounded in the suicide attack, so they don't fell. It helps to charge them across the battlefield and then behind the enemy, so they're good and tired (therefore slower) and the enemy is between them and escape. That's how I do it anyway http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I just send mine alone into the next province I want to attack. It takes 3 attempts to finish them off but you're also whittling down the numbers in that province a little - every bit helps Except when they get captured and you need to pay the damn ransom to keep influence levels up. Then I curse them to hell and become even more insistent on their death, preferably an extremely painful one. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I had a 6 star heir, but he had a 9 star younger brother that I wanted to take over the crown. I could have kept the 6 star and said what the hell, but this guy was LOADED with horrible vices. I'm talking Unhinged Loon Heretic Glutton and Perversion Ick

Anyway, so I sent the 6 star into battle by himself. The crazy SOB took something around eight tries to die. He was a 2 star by the end though.

I tend to have a very high level (5 or 6 stars) Inquisitor if I am catholic: just submit the low religion heirs to endless rounds of trials; eventually he will burn.

It's annoying when your trying to get rid of a heir and he develops comwardice vices, then it's difficult to kill him because he won't even get never the enemy or stay engaged long enough to get surruonded. Don't they realize that I didn't put together a great Empire to let them screw it up?
