View Full Version : Anyone else have problems selecting units
On the campaign map, that is. Soetimes when you have alot of them it is difficult to see and select them, and they move around in the territory on their own.
I guess their is no way to select them easier, is there?

i dont really understand what you mean, can you plz explain a bit better.
But im gonna try to give you an advice:
I always turn off tidy up units after battle (its called something like that). The units dont jump from stack to stack after a battle then, and you can put the units you want in the stacks.
Normally i never have probs to know which units is in which stacks.
Well thats how i understood your question

I don't think so http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif
I run into that problem mainly with strat agents; move 20 spies into a territory and place them where you can see them...next turn they have moved a lil, making some very hard to see or recover. A rather annoying game feature http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

ever tried using your mouse wheel to zoom in
Even zoomed in all the way they sometimes move behind a fort or something and it is hard to see?select them.
Anyone know why the pieces on the campaign map move on their own anyway?

I don't know keet. Your problem was one of my few annoyances with the game when it came out. There's a big, empty province and your emissary decides to hide behind the other faction's king. Or port.
I think zoom is your best bet. There is always at least some part of your unit that is visible to click on.
Yeah, it just takes some time to look a litter deeper, no big deal but sometimes when you have alot on your mind you miss them. Oh well, it is great that one of the only things to complain about is so trivial, just wish I understood the reason/purpose for their moving. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Hey keet, I just noticed where you are from. If I'm not mistaken you aren't too far from where my grandparent's live - Hegins area. Also, my dad has a cottage in Ontario, Canada and IIRC, the people that own the cottage next to his are from Shenandoah. Small world, ain't? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
