never heard or seen them. Could someone put my mind at rest.
Is it another name for almughavars?

I believe housecarle is a viking unit not currently implemented in MTW but some are hoping in the expansion.

Housecarles are the starting units in Sweden in the early game. They do not show up anywhere else and are not buildable by anyone in the course of the game, as far as I have ever seen. You may add them to someone if you want to mod, they are in the unit build files.

One may only guess at why. Probably some faction or avenue that was discontinued for some reason.

hoursecale is only available to two factions: danish and novgorod. they can however be mercenaries. built in norway gets them +1 valor.

Vikings which i think own they look good but i thought their shilds were larger
