Italian Infantry

Is it just me, or does the tech map not show what is needed for the construction of Italian Infantry? What do you need to create them? Are they available in the Early period?

erm all you need is money and i tihnk there only avalible in high era.

Greetings, the way I understand it is that they are avalible in the High and Late Periods and all you should really need is the upgraded Town Watch. The Italian Infantry is a really great unit tho.

Right now I am playing as the Egyptians in the early period. The year is around 1180. I took Rhoades and have an inn there. I hired mercenaries and the Italian Infantry are there. So guess they are available from the start.

The building you need for Italian Light Infantry is a spearmaker's guild.

They are available in the High and Late periods. Don't be confused by rebels and mercenaries; they get the units before they are available.
