The patch brought both joy http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif and woe http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/angry.gif
Obviously i like the bug fixes but i am slightly miffed to say the least at the time line changes to units.
I do understand why they are there, don't get me wrong, i just don't like them IMO.
So, is there any one who knows of a mod which keeps the bug fixes but eliminates the unit production time limits.

I dont like this restriction myself, but it is easy to change (I think)if you want to look into the file called crusader_unit_prod11. Look over the info about the format of the file, and then you can manually do the changes to the units you want the time restrictions changed http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Well, somewhere inside your TW folder is a file called crusader_build_prod11, which lists all the units and their characteristics in a form of tab file or database with records separated by TAB. There is a field that says when you can build each unit. HIGH, LATE is this field from the Longbowman string, and makes this unit available only in high and late periods. If you were to change it to ALL_PERIODS (taken from archer string) than you would only need the buildings to build your Longbows.
Repeat and enjoy
