Just posting a big hello to everyone out there http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif I'm pretty new to these forums... been lurking here now and then since I got the game, but never really bothered to sign up. Posted over at the official forums for a bit, but after they changed back to Ezboard it kinda turned me off.. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif These forums luck much nicer - and I like the way you set up the membership thing. Without critisizing (sp?) how it may lead to favorism (;)) I do think it can and will keep annoying spammers and people that post the topic why is the Pope so unrealistic? for the umpteenth time http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I played Shogun back when it was all new - actually saw a small trailer for it more than a year before it was released, and thus bought it the instance it was released http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Enjoyed it a lot, though the MI was a let-down...
Got Medieval: Total War a while ago, and it kept my attention for a lot longer than Shogun... I especially like how it makes it so easy to mod I actually got some changes done myself http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Other than that, I'm a 16 year old guy from Norway, a real Viking http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif Always loved history and the battles of old times, so the TW games always sat well with me. Anyway - that's it about me, just wanted to introduce myself.

Welcome, I'm 25% Swedish, so I have a little something in common with you I suppose http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif. These forums are much better than .com

Thanks for that wonderful introduction jLan. I'm glad you've finally gotten around to registering with us. What makes the Org work is people helping people. I encourage you to participate where you can when you've got some good information to share - and it seems like you've got quite a bit of experience to draw upon.

I think most will agree with your statement about MTW vs STW. The single player campaign has gotten much more playtime than STW ever did and it still generates quite a bit of discussion four months later.

I think the medieval time period is also much more appealing for a larger audience. I never played Shogun because I don't care much about the setting. I would have though if I knew what kind of game it was http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif (And then propably get curious about the setting and read up about it... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif ) I decided to buy Medieval right after I played the Demo
