Hi everyone.
See, I usually play a lot, both board games and PC games. Favourites used to be Diplomacy PBEM and Civilization (in both senses, actually).
I've enjoyed MTW for about three days now, and I'm totally hooked. The depth of the game seems to be without end.
Usually - as my very good friend The great dane (isn't Peter Schmeichel a bit outdated? ;-) knows only too well, I've always been better at strategy games without too much stress, rather than real time. In this game, the balance between the strategic and combat elements is unique.
Well, no news in this I'm afraid. I have just started up a campaign with Byzantium. 25 years or so, everything going smoothly. I'm trying an economical based strategy, and so far only conquered in order to gain regions that holds great tradeable goods or natural ressources. Good marriages, a few strategic assasins, and then a virtual invasion of spanish and papal bishops hits my fair homeland.
surely lots of questions will arise, and I'll be back with them, and of course with experiences useful to others, as soon as I have upgrated my skills a bit.
