Tactics for the Saracean Historical Campaign

How do I beat the 100 Royal Knights when they charge my forces all flee http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif at times I wore away untill Royal Knights were all that were left but their were still some either infantry or archers and they routed me anyways thanks http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

We can handle this question here in the EH. It is the mod and tech support stuff that is better suited to copying to those forums.

Some suggestions:

1) Get one of your high command generals into the battle. They will boost the valour of all units in the army and higher valour means your units are less likely to run in the face of the knights.

2) Get some spears to meet the knights.

3) Use missile units to decimate the knights before they get close. Mounted knights are nice big targets to shoot. Horse Archers can harrass the knights and keep their distance. If the knights try to pursue, they'll get tired during the chase.

That battle gives me fits too. I have there whole army wiped out except those Knights and they still waste me. Don't know what to tell you.

Is their any cheat codes so I can play all the historical campaings like the one after Saladin ?

Their may have been some slight obsfucations by me not mentioning it in the title I dunno I had the novel idea of wearing the knights out (but that would take to much time http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif ) I mean they are in the desert in full plate mail they got to tired but still I dont think this will work and am looking for other advise thanks http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

You mean the Horns of Hattin battle? The best strategy is to do nothing. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Definitely do not rush the crusaders. Just wait. They will get exhausted in the desert. Of course, in the mean time you can harrass them with your horse archers but that is all. Basicaly play a hit and run tactics. When you have no more arrows left then make a charge and try to single out the knights. They will run quickly and the rest will run with them. Avoid the fanatics tough they will fight to the end (i.e. leave them to the last).

Woo hoo. Finally beat that battle. Basically I just harassed them with arrows until I was out then used my fast cav to lure units out a few at a time then waste them. The royal knights charged in eventually and for once my line held against them while my cav encircled and trapped them.
