The htm manual installed with the game informs that if you change the basic size of a unit its production time is altered also, thus a unit of 200 pesants takes 2 years instead of one. Nowhere however did I find any information about how to change this unit size. I want to produce units of 100 royal knigts how do I do?

Go to options, then performance. Theres a slider at the bottom, change it to your hearts content.

BTW, have you seen lord of mid afternoon anywhere?

That slider changes the size of all units though, not sure if that is what you are looking for...
The royal knights can be altered from the file called crusader_unit_prod11, where all the units have entries specifying their size, cost, restrictions, stats, etc...

Thanks for the info, however the sliders changed the size of all units except my royal knights (and of course siege weapons), as for the lord of midafternoon i consider what normal people call midafternoon morning, at least during holidayseason. So thecnically that makes me the lord of your midafternoon.

Greetings and how you doin'? to Lord of the morning (and midafternoon too http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif ) Welcome to the Org

One last note of changing unit sizes: you cannot change the unit size in mid-game. The unit size at the start of the game is the unit size used throughout the game.

Thanks Gregoshi, both for the greetings and for the swift promotion, even if it looks like TosaInu promoted me.

You're welcome Lord. KukriKahn and I make the promotion list/recommendations but Tosa has the power to make it happen. We are a team. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/pat.gif

in order to change royal knights, and siege weapons. you have to edit the 'crusader_unit_prod11.txt' file in the main games directory. then find the name ex: royal knight, you will find three listings for them earlyroyalknights, highroyalknights, and lateroyalknights. for earlyroyal night it will start like this:

earlyroyalknights calvary 325 25 1 0 80 20 1

the first is the unit name, the second is type ithink. the third number is cost to build. the fourth is upkeep/year. the fifth is time to build 1 year, the sixth and seventh i'm not sure what they do.. but the eighth is the one to change from a 20 to a 100, and you'll have 100 royal knights. and the last number i'm not sure of..

just remeber any change you make will be for everyone cappable of building that unit.
