quick question, why in syria, it says i have a +1 valor bonus to assasins, but when i click on assasins i build there they have 0 valor???
probrably been answered but i couldn't find an answer...

Assassin is not same as Hashishin in this game.
The first one is a strategic agent, the second one is a combat unit. I believe what you see applies to the combat unit.

erh syria gives a +1 bonus to nizaris

on a side note ,i've never seen a region bonus work on
ships and strategic agents

@kaaskop:I think there are some regions with bonuses for ships. I think it´s Venice for gallies and Norway for longboats and there is one in the middle east, but I´m not really sure.

yes there are a lot of provinces that give bonuses to boats but i never get them nor do my strategic agents

Tunisia is supposed to give a bonus to dhows.

Quite right. Syria has valor bonus for Nizaris.
i think no province has valor bonus for hashishin or assasins.

lovely ,but that's not what i meant.
For instance build a couple inquisitors in castille and you'll know that it doesn't give a bonus .Also I believe the only additional factor in ship combat is fleet comander rank ,and that unafected by where you build the boat .It could of course be that i'm missing some tiny icon that says:this is a valor two cog. if so please enlighten mr http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif (no i'm not talking about the stars ,that's the comander bonus)

Different provinces give differnt bonuses. Also historical events give provinces more bonuses to use.
And about the ships yes the leading comander of the ships gets factored into combat but also when chasing enemy boats speed is also factored into it too.

on a brighter note if sum1 would post a zoomed in pic of scotland i would be happy to show where my dry but slightly mossy cardboard box is.

i often get to apoint in a campaign where i find myself not wanting to attack the direct land borders of a country so i build 40-60 all round good ships and just wiping out all fleets on the map.

PS. i hope that in the expansion or RTW the enemy will react to ur massive build up of army's/fleet's on their border.
