Historic battles

When I go to play a historic battle I cannot see any of my troups. I can see the bule dots on the map where they are meant to be and when the battle commences I hear the sound of my invisible men been slaughtered. I cannot see any troups. I have Win XP sp1 with direct x9, Geforce 4 4600 updated with the latest drivers. Everything else appears to be OK

Hi Masterchef and thanks for coming to the Org.

Your problem sounded vaguely familiar, but I can't find it with a search.

Questions:

1) Is the problem only with historical battles?

2) Do you have the MTW patch installed?

3) Regarding GeForces, there are two sets of drivers IIRC. Which to you have? Try searching the Apothecary for Geforce and read up. I know people have been having problems with one driver set but not the other.

If none of these gets you anywhere, come back with some more complete specs/information and we'll see what we can do.

Thanks for the reply,very much appreciated. I have updated to with the latest patch but the same problem appeared so I totally uninstalled the program and restarted from scratch and tried under 1.0. Same problem.
I am running with the 41.09 nvidia drivers direct X 9, win xp pro service pack 1, AMD 2000+ 512 mb ram, Creative GE force T1 4600 card, Audigy 2 Platinum card, MSI motherboard
I have also searched the other forums in relation to the GE force card and graphic errors but nothing related to invisible Soldiers White lines and flashes but not the invisible kind. Landscape is perfect just this slight prob. Will roll back the drivers tonight and will advise tomorrow.

I'll copy this to the Apothecary after you answer one more question: is the invisible men problem only occur during historical battles? Custom battles and SP campaign are okay?

It appears to be only happening in the Historic battles as when I go into random battle I see them, no problem hiding in the rain ready for battle, or sun bathing waiting for my command. Will go onto home PC tonight 2( hours) and try custom battle but it is strange that they apprear sometimes and not during the historic battles.

Happens in custom battle as well. I also have a little tread in this section regarding what nvidea drivers work best and noticed strange happenings when chosing software option in shogun instead of hardware. troops appeared.
So still no progress. Will advise later if rolled back drivers worked.
