hi all.

i love the mtw game. but there are some things missing.

a history writer/chronist who writes down everything u do. e.g. king xy was famous for x and he lived from x to x. under his lead the kingdom have improved very much etc.

i want to know my anchestors. if my king dies and his heir takes over the throne a few years later i ve forgotten the name of the former king. another example: i can say, ok about 20 years ago i conquered the french but who was the king in this period í cannot say.
i want a manue in which all the passed years/rounds of the game are listed with a small entry what happend this year. for how long do i live in peace with the russians? the last war with the polish lasted 13 years. etc.

next i want more statistics. how many men died on my side and how many on my enemie's until the war was over?
in what way my income have changed over the years...

this and much more would realy improve the gameplay i think.

please give me your comments.

Welcome, http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif Morgoth

You have some very interesting ideas.
CA, are you listening?

Yes, an utility like this will be very useful. For now, you only have the log files of the battles...

Great idea - kind of like a debrief after a campaign. It could potentially help to modify your gameplay and spot common tactical errors - would this be easy to implement ?

no i dont think a debrief could do it. i want that option inside the game.

ya thats a very good suggestion, it would at least add more historical favor to the game after you beat it, and makes you feel like part of the game

Welcome to the Org Morgoth and eXoMagus. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

Your idea is an excellent one. Several of us discussed this very thing a few months back, but I'll be darned if I can find it. I even went back and searched the old forums for it. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif

Anyway, it would be a nice historical summary of your campaign. Alpha Centauri has a somewhat similar feature.

This would be a really nice feature, especially for those budding writers who post AAR on here.

An old game called Lords Of Midnight III ( I still have it somewhere but dont play anymore) had a cronicle which recorded the actions of generals, princes etc as well as reports on battles.

If the detailed-breakdown system you suggest was implemented, you could post the debriefs of your most spectacular wars and campaigns online for bragging rights. You could add a whole new section to the org for it-Medieval-Fabulous conflicts

Why don't you just write your own? Story telling is loads of fun, and writing about your campaign dynasty, the battles, alliances, political intrigues, etc... would be interesting reading for some of us. Utilizing pics from battles, like a long gone member named Martz, in your chronicles would make them even better. I enjoy doing it myself, when I can find the time. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif Reading a well written account is an enjoyable past time, at least for me. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

It would be very cool if some sort of Hall of Fame feature was implemented. Maybe even for the careers of individual generals, have a list of battles fought/won, stats on total soldiers killed/captured/lost, etc. I'd write this down myself, but I'm a very lazy man. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Hosakawa, it was Maltz. His stuff was so good, the Org hosted his stories. You can find them here: Maltz's War Stories (http://www.totalwar.org/maltz/)

Writing war stories is fun but very time consuming for me. Saving a replay would make writing up an epic battle you fought much easier, right Hosakawa? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif I would also make getting good screen shots easier.
