Ok, this is in regard to the script.txt that gets created with the island map (atm, the lbm and bif stuff seem ok http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/flirt.gif). When I start a new campaign, the Early, High, or Late entries are not available. What I did was just rename the script files to the aforementioned names and backed up and placed them in the startpos dir. I further amended the SetStartDate::, SetPeriod:: to the corresponding date and period. I know his script files is just supposed to just let one run the game with a new campaign barebones, but is there any other barebone minimum changes that need to be made from the script file that LMM outputs? Has anyone played around with LMM to get the basic Island, Britain, or WestMed (or any map btw) running?

p.s. I'm not too concerned about the bif and lbm files--I don't think I made any mistakes on those...yet, just the scripts. Eagerly waiting for next version Wellington http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Hi,

I see you found Wellington's Beta-LukMapMaker program. Well, as it says, it's a beta and currently only meant for feedback back to him while he is creating it. The beta you tested contains script errors, doesn't convert the BMP to LBM files (you can do manually but it would still not work in MTW because of a special colour palette which you cannot add yourself) and as you figured out too, you need to add a lot to the sript files yourself to get the campaign working.
He is now working on a second Beta which should be released today or tomorrow. It will have a lot of more features and will feel a bit more finished. The script will be made more error free (still needs testing though), the LBM files should be made corrctly now (not to BMP) and the process of converting everything has more options now.

But please don't think that it will give you a complete working script file yet to replace witht the early.txt. For now it will only work for modders who know how the scripts work (e.g. early.txt). His goal is ofcourse to create something which will be easy to use for everyone.

If you want to follow the progress and releaes and maybe add some ideas, please look at topic:

Thx for the reply Pantha. Yes, I knew it is a beta and have been keeping track of it in the dungeon, however, I cannot post there yet due to my status. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif

Anyone else played around with LMM? I'm curious to know what their experiences were.
