Why do the AI take prisoners when he assults one of my castles. If anyone attacked a castle back then the garrison surrendered when the first breach in the wall was made OR they fought to the last man

The ai never runs away or surrenders in a castle battle?

And where is your Resource for this info? You really believe that they never took prisoners? What about wounded men that cant fight no more? Hollywood is not a good source either.

Same happens if you auto calculate your one castel assaults. I once captured a king this way.

I'm pretty sure if you had 3+ walls then you wouldn't surrender after the first was breached, otherwise what would be the point in building all the extra ones. Maybe when the final one was breached and the keep itself was assaulted.
