Do Bishops have a limited lifespan?

The reason I ask is because when I first built some they died, and I never got a message saying they had been assassinated.

Is this because they were killed, died of old age, or did they catch a computer bug?

Thanks

hmm..I've never had an agent die unless they failed a mission (not applicable to bishops) or were assassinated. I suppose it's possibly a bug, but I'd tend to think your bishops were assassinated.

I think exile is right, agents do not die unless killed by an assasin and sometimes when they fail a mision, youll always get a message though.

Thanks

When Bishops are assassinated, is there a message notifying you of the fact?

Yes ichi, you should get a message at the beginning of your next turn, we regret to inform you of the death of ... on a scroll parchment. If you don't and the agents are just disappearing then it must be a bug.

Just an overly simple answer... Did you check the subterfuge parchment to see if they are in your list. Sometimes if a province is particularly small they can tend to disappear behind other units unless you zoom all the way in. This is particularly true in provinces with a faction leader and a castle.

Just a thought for you. I know at one point I could not select a princess in Finland until the Russian leader moved out because she was hidden behind him...even when zoomed in all the way.

I've always gotten a message, everytime one of my: spies, assassins, priests, or emmisaries has been killed.
