New Here...

Well well well... I have now renouced age of empires/rise of rome/ age of kings/ and the lot... I have been hoping for a game such as this(medieval)For a long time.. and it has finally happened.. As a history buff I have always loved historical strategy games, however all i had to play was the Age Series. Thank God for this game. Once I learn some of the strategies etc. I will be online hopefully kicking some ass..or getting mine kicked.. (this could take a little while,in that this game is more highly complex and actually requires strategy, compared to AoK)

I am also new here, and I agree with you Rising General. Other than Rise of Nations, which looks like it might actually have some strategic depth, I am through with traditional RTS games. They are fun to a point, but no strategy to speak of...just click as fast as you can.
I have had M:TW for three weeks now and it is great...here's hoping that Viking Invasions and especially Rome:TW further enhance and improve the formula

Welcome to the forum MTW is a awesome game and I'm glad to see your excitement and joy for purchasing such a wonderful game. You are in a great forum were many can help you if you have any questions. Even the games programmers jump on here now and again and give us tips and information. You should also check out Shogun Total War, it is also an excellent game and is what introduced me to this masterpiece.
