the year is now 1315. many years have past since they first apeared, The Mongols. when they first apeared they began smashing through the turks and were soon on our (the Polish Empire) borders. for some reason they stoped right before entering our terretory. Back to the west a War was raging with the Italians. I had just returned from battle when i recieved notice, the Golden Horde was on the march. 4 provences had fallen already and my Generals would need reinforcments.I was a fool. i had moved much of my forces to the West to battle the great Italians. since i knew this war would be over sooo, i sent 3 of my best generals back east.within about 5 years the Horde were breaking through not only my defences but that of the Russians as well. when the generals arived (along with a massive relief force) they were suprised when they saw how greatly they're numbers where. after raising a couple reinforcements we began to liberate the fallen provinces. many battles followed resulting in mixed results, Some were Won and others lost. the 3 generals i sent were doing very well but i knew i had to do somthing myself. I fianly defeated the Itallians in the east, now that that region was secure i began a long march across Europe, soldiers joined us in each provence we passed thro and soon I had a mighty army under my command. when I had arrived, things seemed to look alote better. still my troops were surprised how many Soldiers they had at their disposal. By the time i arrived on the Mongol Front the Russians were no more and if i wasnt carefull i could be cut off from Europe and be traped. i checked their alliances...they had Egypt and The Almo's on their side. If the need should arrise for allies i might be out of luck (the English, and the Spainish) both of wich were very far away. after the next year. the Mongols attacked my king's main army.(what surprised me was that their King Took on mine) over 3,500 troops they had invading. i pos. myself on high ground and awaited them. they entered the battlefield, it was as if their marching alone caused the ground to shake. since i had a great pos on a low Mt. i was not very worried. the only thing that did worry me alittle was my numbers i had only roughly 2200 in this province. well outnumbered by a full army.i did what i could. their calvery was the first to come after me, combine fire from Crossbows, the charging of my Chilvaric Knights and my Fuedal Man At Arms, i was able to hold them but their infantry proved to be better. they tore down most of my soldiers and drew me off high ground. and before i could revert my spear men to the flanks they charged wth their calvery.the Right flank was utterly destroyed before long. i was under fire from their archers now. (they must have been in the woods near by, i didnt see them)i brought in a wave of reinforcements, that helped releive alot of that assualt. The two armies apeard dead even in combat. everytime i gained a step they fought back and retook it. Squad after Squad of Reinforcements came in on both sides. Charge after charge from their Calvery. My King's Personal Guard had been decimated and he was in the thick of battle. I had no reinforcments left, and as i looked to the other side of the province i saw they were bringing theirs in as well. The battle raged on and i finally brok my calvery away from the fight...i circled around their main line and charged them their leader fell in the first wave, soon after he fell they began to retreat. The Mongol's exhausted troops were cut down as they tried to run. the victory came at a high price for my King was Killed in battle. My Son Took over and Led the Polish People well. To this Day We are reguarded with great respect from the other factions. with their leader Killed in battle the Mongols were no longer a threat as they disentegrated into rebels. the bulk of my battered army retuned to Poland and other lands to guard them. It is now 1315...and to this day we guard the former borders of the Golden Horde. for i fear that one day they may reappear. but this time, we will be ready.

Lucky when your King was killed that your men kept their courage. No doubt he will be buried with the greatest of honors.

Very well done - you have a talent for putting the struggles of the game into an interesting story.

Stories like that make work go so much slower. I want to go home and get into the game more.
