When does the game end?

Okay can anyone just tell me if there is a year limit or something to the game? Because I heard of it before, but I like to start in the Late Age, so I have to edit the Late.txt thing to like year 138 or something, but if there is no year limit then I would stop the editing because it feels kinda weird when you have all these artillery and guns and you read the year and it says 200AD...
