Can anyone tell me how to mod royal knights to a bigger size? I fancy doubling their unit size, but doubling the cost aswell.
Tips anyone? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

backup any files you intend to edit before you edit them...

also, the unitprod is a big-a$$ file, you might want to get a text scearcher.....

hope that helps

In the crusaders_unit_prod11 file, you will find a list of all units. To the right of the unit, there is a few columns of numbers. You can change unit sizes and costs here, just be careful to change the right number. (maybe one of the more expierenced modders can give some more details)

I tried out royal kights at 80, but this seemed a bit much, even though I play with the max unit sizes. 40 works good for this- It gives the elite bodyguard feeling while still being large enough to use with good effect.

Don't forget to mod Gulam Bodyguards to this size as well.

Ta Dramicus, but i've been modding for a couple of months now, so i've sussed the need to back everything up. Trouble is, although i'm pretty sure that it's crusader_unit_prod file, and i've found a line that looks like it's the knight's stats i can't figure out which is the unit size stat. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif
Still, all help is appreciated http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

Royal Knights are listed as EarlyRoyal Knights, HighRoyal Knights, and LateRoyal Knights.

The first number is the cost, and the 6th number over should be 20, indicating the size. Just change that to whatever you desire.
