Greetings.

In the games where I have had to fight dropped (or 'ghost&#39http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif armies, they are usually the last to take out. Sometimes, the troops remaining on my side are not enought to overthrown the dropped one, especially if one foe join them and prevent flanking moves. Moreover, these troops are still fresh at the end of the battle, and they cannot be killed easily, sometimes they even win the battle without human control http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/dizzy.gif.

I know it has been begged to the developers to make the game end when no human opponents are remaining, but that's not the point of this post. I would like to know from you how was your experience with that dropped allies or foes. Well, sometimes they put up a really decent fight http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif
In my case, I haven't yet lost to a dropped army, but I used once one as cover for my 3 last units and it worked very well: we won against the remaining tired troops of 3 enemies (yes, a coward move, but hey these were our allies, after all http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif)

I have played in a 2v2 where the remaning enemy army had quit, and my ally and myself had about 75% left each. As this army was byzantine, we decided to flank the units one by one. 20 minutes and 700 caualties later, we routed it, but taking over 700 loses to a motionless army that is being flanked continuoulsy from cavalry, shot by archers, gggrrr. We almost lost lol.

Hi alioven. Thanks for dropping by and registering with us.

I've limited experience playing online and only had one experience with a dropped ally. That was with Shogun however and not really relevant to the discussion. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

yea it's the [Mel Gibson voice] Freedom[/mel Gibson voice] virtue...

+8 morale, your troops are finally free to do as they want ,which basicly comes down to standing still ,taking many heads and sometimes even winning the battle by chainrouting the enemy exhausted troops (had this once) http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif .
