MP-Problem

Last night I tried to play online, I did register, created a player etc. Then I started the game typed in all info needed (nick, password, etc.) ENTER...blam... sreen went black and the game was shut down???WTF...I have the latest patch, latest drivers and so forth...please help me...Thank you http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

The screen goes black for like ½ minute for me, then i can get into the chatroom, maybe wait awhile?

not in my case. After it goes black my desktop apears and the game is down. I have to start it again.

List your system specs with this discription of your troubles and I'll paste it over to the Apothecary for you. While your waiting for an answer you can go there and read through the threads. You may find your answer yourself, I'm sure someone has had the same problem.

What helped when I couldn't log in was shutting down virus protection. I'm unfortunatly not certain this will help.
Otherwise, reïnstall the game and cross your fingers...

A couple of suggestions. If I have been playing SP then I shut everything down and restart before I go online; saves lots of problems.

Second, I close most all other programs using task manager (CTRL/ALT/DEL). Especially virus like Severijn states.


Try defragging your system, cleanup files.

As a last resort, start over and reload everything.
