Alrowan - go on, let's see you favorite sites, please. I've been trawling on and off for about a week via google, and there is some very good stuff but you have to shift through so much chaff. There's a thread in the monastery on good threads where I've posted some of the best I've found.

ill go through them and sort them a little... ive got a shitload of castle sites from when i was making my castle map pack, and i found an extremely good site which has maps of europe for every century since 1AD
