Need help

Hi
I recently received this promising looking game (Medieval Total War)as a gift from someone who had been to Germany on a trip.

Unfortunately my grasp of the language is not advanced enough to enjoy the game, and there is no option to change to English...can someone please help me with editing the game so that all the original English text is displayed?

Is there a simple way of doing this, like downlaoding some files or do I have to go and do some major editing. I noticed that there is a folder called LOC, which contains text files with translations into German for all of the source I guess. The .ini file in the root MTW folder references these files and checks the language being used.

Any help will be appreciated as I am a roókie at doing this kinda thing

It seems like there should be a way of controlling the language, but I'm at a loss. I have this vague (and probably wrong) feeling the language is controlled at the time of install. We'll see if someone brighter than I comes along with an answer. If not, we'll copy this to the Apothecary forum and maybe someone there can provide an answer.

I beleieve you are right Gregoshi san I just did a re-install and it asks you what language preference at the time of install I presume this would be the place to change it?

well as I said it is a German language version of the game so it is only in German and there are no options at the time of install to select the language.
