I was browsing through the watchtower when I noticed I had the ability to Quote someone. My sense of dashing and adventure kicked in and I decided to see what would happen. I clicked quote and actually managed to post a reply, asking basically what I am asking here: I am a senior patron as of this post but I thought only junior members and up could post in the watchtower. What is going on? Has something changed that I should know about or am I being very, very clueless and oblivious?

I'm not sure that I got your point.

When you quote someone else post, there will be 2 text boxes. The top one is yours. You need to type something in here. If not, you won't be able to post if your text box is empty. If you don't feel like typing, just simply put a smillie or whatever to make your post non-empty.

The second box (bottom one) contains the quoted text. You can edit this box to leave out any text that you don't want in the quote. However, you should not change/edit the meaning of the original text.

I think he's flumoxxed by his ability to post there (thinking he's of too low a rank to post there)...the Watchtower forum allows replies by all, but topic creations by senior members and up. Unless there's been a change in the 6 weeks I was gone.

thank you KukriKhan. Yes you put it exactly right. I was quite flummoxed. I thought that only junior members and up could post in the watchtower and only senior members and up could start topics. I didn't know little ole me had the power to post Although I must say you ruined the sense of rule-breaking and bravado I got from posting in what I thought was a locked forum to me. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif Thanks anwyays

I confess to not climbing up to the Watchtower very often. I get a little claustrophobic in there, and these old bones creak louder than the steps on the way up.

But for you, my young Greek friend, I will go.

bless you kind KukriKhan http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif but my post in the watchtower needs no attention. It only asked what I inquired about here.
