hello gents,

can any of you modders out there come up with a decent representation of the Byzantine banner and colors in one of your next mods?

I play them a lot and all I get in the map is something out of a funeral...

The Byzantine war banner was of dark red color (porphyro) and included a double headed eagle in gold - a figure that was since borrowed by just about everybody in Europe.

In addition, shields were fashioned with a large X in front of a smaller P, the first two letters of the word Christ in Greek.

As always, I am thanking you in advance.

Here's one

A site on it (http://www.hoplon.bravepages.com/en/articles/byzantineflag.htm)
and another

and

However, in the period of MTW this one would be most appropriate with the yellow eagle one being appropriate to sometime in the 15th century.
